The Dr. Hop is a delicious hop stunner! With its bitterness (IBU) of 100 and brewed with many different hops, this is a delicious double IPA (DIPA, 8.5% alcohol). Characteristic is the slightly sweet citrus taste.
DIPA stands for double india pale ale; this beer has at least twice as much taste as an IPA. Significantly more malt was used, which led to an alcohol percentage of 8.5%.
The beer is loaded with hops, up to a bitterness (IBU) of 100 by a mix of European and American hops. Of course whirlpool- and dry-hopping have also been used. The nickname of Muifelbrouwer Martin Ostendorf used to be Dr. Hop because he only hobbybrewed bitter boys.
The high alcohol percentage and the accompanying residual sugars also give the beer a full-bodied, slightly sweet taste.
